C-SATS Technical Performance Assessment
20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for completing all 3 stages
This online performance-based educational program is designed for surgeons of all specialties who conduct minimally invasive surgery (robotic or laparoscopic surgeries).
This program is designed to provide surgeons with performance-based practice by submitting videos of dry-lab, simulation, or animate surgery. The videos will be evaluated using the Global Evaluative Assessment of Robotic Skills (GEARS) or the Global Operative Assessment of Laparoscopic Skills (GOALS) validated assessment tool. Learners will review high performance videos that allow them to see best practices among surgeries using the same surgical method (i.e. robotic or laparoscopic).
After submitting videos for assessment and reviewing their performance report, participants should be able to:
- Describe the performance domains for their surgical method.
- Identify both their strongest and weakest performance domains.
- Analyze their surgical performance against that of expert surgeons.
- Recognize the differences among technical skills domains between their performance video and that of an expert surgeon.
