C-SATS (www.csats.com), a venture-backed health care technology company on a mission to empower the nation’s healthcare institutions so they can appraise and facilitate surgical performance improvement accurately and objectively, today announced that Adventist Health System’s federally listed Patient Safety Organization, Quality Circle for Healthcare, will deploy its cutting-edge solution for continuous quality improvement in the area of robotic surgery in seven hospitals.
With 46 hospital campuses, nearly 8,300 licensed beds in 10 states and more than 4.7 million patients annually, Adventist Health System believes the benefits of using C-SATS to help assess and improve robotic surgical performance via simulation curriculum, telementoring and recommended peer group videos will yield measurable and sustainable improvements in both surgical performance and patient safety.

Historically, it’s been challenging for health care systems to develop supporting infrastructure to evaluate technical skills in robotic surgery.
